The Department of English and German Studies (DEAA) is responsible for teaching and research in a wide variety of disciplines related to the language, literature and culture of English- and German-speaking countries.

The department coordinates the undergraduate program in English as well as the Masters in Teaching and Learning English as a Foreign Language and the Masters in Professional Translation (Spanish-English). It also participates in the interdepartmental doctoral program in Humanistic Studies.

We also provide English language instruction in other degree programs within the Faculty of Arts and in other faculties such as Tourism and Geography, Education and Psychology and the School of Engineering.
